 | Although I'm named after a perching bird I have the webbed feet of a native Oregonian. Most of my life I splashed through the rain, ferns, flowers and trees of the Willamette Valley. I moved to Pullman, Washington after graduating from Portland State University with a B.A. in Speech Communication. While at P.S.U. I volunteered at my local public radio station which gave me the experience that I needed to become an Announcer at Northwest Public Radio in December of 1989. Three years later I was promoted to Music Director.
Working for Northwest Public Radio is a privilege. There's just something different about public radio. A quality and a style that is unique in a world of carbon copy media. My job informs, entertains and challenges me and I hope that NPWR does the same for you.
When I'm not working you can find me with my nose buried in a book, riding horses, hiking, going to a movie and in the summer gardening and hanging out all day at the Snake River. |
