 | Thom Kokenge was born and raised in Yakima, WA got his B.A. in Mass Communication from Central Washington University, and has been in radio for over 20 years.
Radio has been full-time and part-time work in his life. When he was working full-time at other jobs he always found time to work part time or volunteer at a radio station and has a strong love for public radio in all its forms.
He got his start working for KCAT at CWU, and KXLE radio in Ellensburg and has done almost every job in radio including engineering but his favorite is being an announcer, live, on the air.
He is the youngest of a family of 7 kids and while he lives the furthest away his other siblings live in the Yakima Valley. He is an uncle, a great uncle, and yes, even a godfather.
Thom recently married his best friend and very wonderful bride Elise and they live in Moscow, Idaho with their ultra-intelligent, very talented, and so cute dog Dazey.
He enjoys his friends and spending time with his wife all the while wishing he had a more powerful radio antennae and a bigger television. |
