Description
Two washed up Shakespearean actors read about an old lady in the nearby town of York, PA who is on her deathbed and wishes to leave a considerable amount of money to her long lost English heirs, Max and Steve. The two decide it is time to take fate into their own hands and impersonate these long lost nephews, showing up after her death, and claiming the fortune as their own. However, their foolproof plan is foiled when they show up in town and discover that "Max and Steve" are really Maxine and Stephanie AND the dying elder is not really dead at all. Undeterred, the two actors masquerade as women and try to pull off the role of a lifetime. In this Ludwig ode to classics like Twelfth Night, Charlie's Aunt and Some Like it Hot, laughs are abundant and slapstick silliness is rampant as whole new worlds are opened to the characters and audiences alike. Tickets $12 Adult/ $10 Senior and Student
