Christmas. The Chapel Choir
performs a traditional service of carols in the historic church singing many
Christmas classics, and some lesser-known carols.

Norwegian and English. Featured
performers include the exquisite voices of the St.Olaf Choir from St.Olaf
college in
Northfield,
MN; the girls choir of Nidaros Cathedral,
Jentekor; and famed Norwegian mezzo soprano Randi Stene.

THE NUTCRACKER
Over the decades, THE NUTCRACKER,
with its memorable score by Peter Tchaikovsky, has become the definitive
Christmas holiday ballet. Now over
100 years old, it was adapted by Alexandre Dumas from E.T.A. Hoffman’s tale
“The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.”
This production of the traditional holiday classic was staged in 2000 and is
performed by the Royal Ballet oat the Royal Opera House in
London
. The Christmas tree
grows with breathtaking splendor, the set design in the Biedereyer style is
meticulous and the snow scene is ravishingly beautiful.

Singers from the University of
Cental Arkansas perform traditional carols, festive holiday songs and unique
arrangements of spiritual hymns including chamber pieces from the 14th,

Faithful, “ “Away in a Manger” and “Joy to the World.”
Also hear renditions of “The Carol of the Bells,” Bogorditse Devo” and
“A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas.”
The program concludes with selections from Handel’s Messiah and a
spirited finale of “children Go Where I Send Thee.”

shares a work of his own in multiple voices, presenting it as a cross between
