Oregon And Washington Senators Want An Earlier Afghan Exit

All four U.S. Senators from Oregon and Washington and 20 of their colleagues are asking the Obama administration for an expedited end to the war in Afghanistan. Two Republicans and one Independent Senator are part of the group. Some Democratic Senators declined to sign the letter.

Seda Must Go To Prison During Appeal Process

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled an Oregon man must report to prison next week for a money laundering conviction. The case centered around a defunct Ashland Islamic charity.

Bonamici Wins OR-1 Special Election

PORTLAND -- A fast-paced five months of campaigning has come to an end in Northwest Oregon. Democrat Suzanne Bonamici was elected last night the next representative for the First Congressional District. Unofficial results last night showed Bonamici prevailing with a sixteen point lead over Republican Rob Cornilles. She'll replace another Democrat, David Wu. From Oregon Public Broadcasting, April Baer reports.

As a standing-room-only crowd of volunteers and donors clapped and filled a downtown conference room with their shouts, Suzanne Bonamici raised her arms to thank them.
