Wash. Ballots With Late Postmarks Won't Be Counted

Washington voters can return their ballots via an official drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

New polls show Washington’s open race for governor remains close. Already hundreds of thousands of Washington voters have returned their ballots. Many more will do so in the coming days. But county auditors have a warning to voters who wait until the last minute.

Northwestern Lawmakers Tweak Postal Reform Bill

Rural post offices in the Northwest would remain open through the November elections under a bill approved by the U.S. Senate Wednesday. The measure includes an amendment aimed at preserving Washington and Oregon’s vote-by-mail systems.
